More of the potential SEC coaching carousel...

Yep, that's Nick Saban's house. For Sale.
Check out his history, and you'll see he's never coached in the same place for more than 5 years. This is the end of his 4th season at the Capstone, and is there any doubt that he's a mercenary up for the highest bidder? Could Jerry Jones be willing to go back to what's brought him the most success (former national champion college coaches in Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer), and preparing to offer Saban a huge raise, possibly nearing $10,000,000 annually once the NFL season is over?

There could be an active coaching carousel in southern football this winter.

  1. As much as I like the reasoning, Saban isn't selling his little lake house on Burton because he is going anywhere. Now, he might be looking to upgrade to something a bit more roomy, like an island or a country. That could possibly be a result of more money.

  2. Agreed BinE; Saban won't go back to the NFL and no one will spend the $ or give the respurces that Bama is.

  3. Jerrah's got a lot of $ and resources himself. Maybe he and the Tahd get in a bidding war?

  4. That is just a "spec" house that he built on Burton. My family does his heating and AC work (We're out of Cornelia, GA). He built this house just to sale it.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(

  5. Even with that, I'll call Saban to the Cowboys this winter or next. The uncertain labor negotiations might delay things, but one more year and a season where Jason Garrett fails to make the playoffs, the Double J will come calling, and his money can trump Bammers.
