The STLSBSB: Southeast Regional....
So blogspot also makes sure our formatting stinks. Yipee. Well, we'll still give you a sure to pay out Southeast Regional bracket. They are due tomorrow morning or tonight depending on your office, friends, etc.
We're big fans of SAG card holder Jamie Dixon, but we think his Final Four drought continues this year. Pitt will make the Elite 8, but get knocked off by fellow Big East member St. John's. We weren't big on Steve Lavin coming into the year, but the fact that he convinced combover master Gene Keady into joining his staff and focusing exclusively on floor coaching changed that opinion. The Johnnies are experienced and strong, and will make it to Houston. Everyone loves Belmont to knock off Wisconsin, but beware the trendy upset picks. Wisconsin also plays a slow down game that fits perfectly into the tourney style. But Kansas St has come back strong, and with Curtis Kelly coming back, will take down a weaker than usual Badger team before succumbing to Pitt. Butler lost a lot from last year, and Old Dominion will take them out early before also going down to the Panthers. BYU and Jimmer have enough to get by Wofford, but without their best big, get overwhelmed by St John's. Michigan St is always a tough out, and tough team, and we think that tenacity gets them past Florida in what's essentially a home game for them in Tampa. Plus, Izzo is 10 times the floor coach Billy Donovan is, and the Gators are talented but not talented enough to overcome their weaknesses. Bracket below, as always.
