Injury updates

From the Banner-Herald's Marc Weiszer, we've got 'Tree back on track and practicing. There's also no mention of Bacarri Rambo, last seen writhing on the Vanderbilt field in pain, so we assume he's good to go. Crowell should be well rested, although his answer to the question about sitting much of last game sounds pretty pissy. Malcolm Mitchell is the other much needed weapon, and it sounds like he'll be good to go after we play it safe letting often problematic hamstrings heal. Bobo mentions the need to get a strong slot weapon in Wootentheballcarrier back, although if his concussion is still causing problems, there's no reason to rush him back soon.

Getting back to good health is the big goal for the week, in addition to getting some good fundamental work in.

  2. Speaking for myself, I've liked it, and seen a bit of the old Richt returning. Perhaps the reports were right that Evans had him stretched too thin, and McGarity taking some of the administrative and off-field responsibilites off his plate has allowed him to focus on what really matters. Of course, there are still a few issues lingering, namely Bobo and continued improvement of the S&C program, but it's hard to complain right now. Of course, disappointing outings in the upcoming big 3 of Florida, Auburn, and Tech could change mine, and a lot of other opinions from where they currently sit.

But to me, and I'm not speaking for all of us here at S&G, but to me, I think he's handled things well and is improving. As an old coach used to say, "We're not where we're gonna be; we're not where we wanna be; but we're a long way from where we were."

  4. Sanchez.... has having a son mellowed you? I know mine mellowed me. Hope bride and son doing well.
    ;-)

Annon 12:40 ... Bobo at OC way too early in his career. I think Richt for some reason delegated too early to Bobo.

  5. Homer, I've always been this way. No mellowing, or perhaps you've failed to distinguish my works from CC's. I've always been the straight man in this act.

  7. Crowell was again injured. This time a left ankle injury, but their coach said that Crowell should be able to play against the Yellow Jackets.

  8. Wooten, on the other hand, could miss the remainder of the season. He has only played three games since he suffered a head injury or concussion in a car wreck in late September. Still, I believe his team can survive the season without him.
