We're learning, and from other's mistakes too

we've shown tremendous strides in stopping some of the bonehead errors we had in recent years. Now it seems we're learning from the mistakes of other people too. While it was a horrible penalty, the celebration call against LSU's Aussie punter (and we should all recruit Aussie punters) may have helped reinforce some things Richt was trying to teach these kids this summer.
“(Richt) was telling us over the summer that if we do that, you’re in some real big trouble,” Bennett said. “You score a touchdown, you just hand it to the ref. You don’t need to be doing all the taunting stuff.”
Personally, I don't mind penalizing "taunting" but these are kids playing a game, and emotions come out. "Celebrations" to some extent, are just part of the game.

  1. Taunting before getting to the end zone I can see but I say let them get after it in the end zone. Give em 5 seconds. No air humping.
