Kent Turene, a highly talented LB, is qualified and will enroll in January to help get a jump start on learning the system and adjusting to the game. With Jarvis Jones all but certain to return, a strong defense looks to only get stronger. Brandon Boykin and Deangelo Tyson are the only definite departures.
Turene is in, but i'm hearing Outlaw is 90% out and now Jalen Fields is 50% out.
ReplyDeleteWe're still down one guy by my count
We'll see on those. Outlaw would be nice, but with Bennett, Mitchell, Conley, and others, we can cover with others if he fails to qualify. We have some quality DL too, but Fields would be nice for depth with Tyson departing and Abry Jones entering his SR season.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the good news with those two is I'm sure we've got great communication with GMC, so if those guys are in danger, we have plenty of time to address the holes they'd leave open by February's signing day. We've got plenty of room with the unused ships right now, and return a lot of talent, so we'll have room to load up all over. A few more OL and DL, another LB, some DBs, a big time WR, and TB (even with Marshall, another for depth would be good if Malcolme is transferring). We should sign a full class.
ReplyDeletei agree. Outlaw would be fun, but not essential. You can't afford to lose a DL
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time seeing Malcome staying at this point. This game was his opprotunity, but he blew the chance - AGAIN. its seems that he is his own worst enemy. Personally, i'd love to see a 235 lb heavy back in there for running between the tackles.
