“I don’t say this about very much, but I think we were at the front of the train on that issue,” Adams told reporters. “I could see it down the track and I think we will end up with something that I think the fans feel better about. We may never get anything that the fans feel perfectly happy about.
“One of my major concerns all along has been that I didn’t think we were paying enough attention to the fans who foot the bills for all this. I think that realization is beginning to come home.”
Make no mistake, if the fans prefer this method, it's just a lucky byproduct. Adams, and the rest of the people running these shows, are doing it for one thing, and one thing only. More money.
If he cared about the fans, he would loosen tailgating restrictions on North Campus and throw us a night game or two.
ReplyDeleteAnd wouldn't have made a stink about the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail party", or engaged in a public pissing contest with Vince Dooley, or spent millions of university money on himself, or made coaching and contract decisions on his own, or ....
DeleteYeah, he doesn't care about fans. He's a politician, and that's a political statement. Like most politicians, he cares about one thing, fattening his wallet and boosting his ego. The playoff plan does both.
and quit wearing that damn obnoxious blue suit at the football games.... the school colors are red and black, you are the President and should know that! Now go back to the closet and get something that matches the rest of us.
