We may not be an NIT caliber team, but we're at least CBI (or is it CIT) caliber. So we're capable of playing post season basketball beyond the SEC Tourney. Word on the street is, we just might turn down a little C tourney if asked. This to me, is foolish. We're playing well right now, so continue the good run. Plus, it's post season play, no matter how weak, which is better than none at all until we really get going. So there's that, with a chance in a lesser tourney to go deep and maybe let Robinson and Ware and Nolte leave town as champions. But more importantly is the practice time and game time for the developing players. KCP could use more work against good competition. Donte Williams and Nemi Djurisic could definitely use more work. Same with Dixon and Cannon since we aren't redshirting one of them for who knows what reason.
Basically, for a program where we are right now, if we get a chance for more basketball, for more time of Fox teaching his system, for more time for the young players to keep improving, for more time to show that Georgia basketball is improving, we take that chance. Yeah, it'd be nice to get going on recruiting a bit, and some guys, like Marcus Thornton, need medical attention. But that can wait until April. More basketball? Yes please McGarity.
