Moving on

Another season, another SEC East title.  This year's East is better than last year, but not a lot (SC and Florida got better, Tennessee and Kentucky worse).  We've got a two game season in terms of quality opposition, but there's nothing we can do about that.  Florida isn't bad, but let's face it, they are not a complete team.

We've got two games to get healthy and fine tuned for Alabama.  Not to overlook Southern and Tech (and the Eagles may well be the more formidable opponent), because both represent difficult matchups and the need defensively are exactly what we were worst at for the better part of the season.  But both of those teams are not on our level talent wise, and should allow Murray and Co. to get on a good scoring roll.

Since Richt can't really motivate the team, the outside motivation of beating Bama should be enough.  We'll see if there's more when the time comes.

  1. yeah, CMR can't motivate the team. That's why they're #5 in the nation & playong in consecutive SEC championship games. That Richt just can't motivate nobody..
And "I has a Crayon" has THE most balanced & one of the most potent offense in the SEC.

It's you guys that suck, not UGA coaches..

    1. Are you intentionally stupid, or just unluckily so? Richt himself said after the Florida game that he has trouble motivating the team. Or was your head shoved too far up my ass to read that quote? It was clearly to full of shit to see the joke that was intended. But hey, what would we be without our favorite shit licker riding right behind with his face firmly stuck to our rectum.

  2. Let's beat a good team before we start talking about how great we are. We beat the gators because of 6 turnovers. We tried to lose with 3 of our own. We all know what happened at USCe.

It would be great to beat Bama and what ever bowl team we face but until then, it is more of the same. If we lose both of those games, then nothing has changed.

    1. that's about where I am Jim. I'm ready to see how we look against Bama. Florida is an incomplete team, and our defense showed up. That's a win 9 times out of 10 in that scenario.

Bama is an even foe. They, like South Carolina at the time we played, have a complete team offensively and defensively. They are strong, and well coached. To beat them, we have to be the same. Are we, or are we not?

  3. Yall are right. Maybe those motivational geniuses Patterson and Leach could have done better. I mean after all, Patterson is coaching in a halfway decent conference now and has a better than .500 record at 6-4! And Leach is tearing it up at 2-8 in the PAC 12! Crazy that those guys (you know the greatest coaches of all time) have down years too. I would ask you to admit that you were wrong, but we all know that will never happen. Keep up the good work guys.

    1. Who ever referred to them as greatest coaches? Can you even comprehend what you read or do you just spit out whatever bullshit pops into your ignorant head when your messiah is dicking around and sleeping on the job?

  4. I may be crazy for thinking this but I think we match up better with Alabama than we do with South Carolina. Teams with a great pass rush give us the most trouble. South Carolina is the best in the league at rushing the passer. Alabama is closer to middle of the road. They rely more on being fundamentally sound this season that truly getting after the qb.

    1. Bama's D is nothing like the one we saw last year imo. It's still stout, just not as dominant. Their offense is much improved though, and I don't think we match up well against their OL. It should be a helluva game, and I can't wait to watch.
